Maltese MEPs to attend international FoE workshop called 'New European Citizens'

Friends of the Earth Malta would like to invite you to a workshop entitled "New European Citizens!", co-funded by the European Union (Directorate General for Education and Culture). The workshop will take place at the Lapsi Hotel in Balluta Bay St Julian's next Sunday 24th October. The workshop kicks off at 9am and will be concluded by 12pm. Non governmental organisations are also invited to an afternoon session dedicated to networking from 2pm to 4pm.

The workshop aims to bring together public officials and representatives from civil society to discuss how EU membership is affecting our environment and the ways in which we react to those changes. Ten representatives from NGOs from each new EU member state will be our guests for the workshop. Hon. David Casa, Hon. Joseph Muscat, and Dr. Harry Vassallo will launch the workshop.

Representatives from the Government and European delegation in Malta have also been invited. The Information Office of the European Parliament in Malta provided material and support for the workshop and documentation that will be available during our events.

Participation is free and a coffee break will be provided.
