| Environmental NGOs condemn shooting at Project Ranger |

| Friends of the Earth (Malta), Ramblers Associaton of Malta, Light Pollution Awareness Group and Nature Trust (Malta) harshly condemn the shooting of an afforestation project ranger at the Foresta 2000 site in the Mellieha area. Criminal acts of individuals who seem to think they are above the law must be swiftly and severely dealt with by the Police. The Environmental NGOs expresses full solidarity with all who are employed in the field to fight for nature protection and the public's right to enjoy countryside heritage. |
