Dr. Rudolf Ragonesi - Land use & legal matter

A lawyer with an environmental conscience and an active member of Friends of the Earth, Rudolf left an established legal firm for

a 'cabin in the woods'. He also set up the GAIA foundation in 1996 to bring the principles of environmental management to life.

 

     

Beth Fiteni

Beth Fiteni is maltese - american, and is currently the organics & energy program director for the Neighborhood Network, a Long Island, NY based environmental organization.
Prior to Neighborhood Network, she worked at the National Coalition Against the Misuse of Pesticides, Physicians for Social responsibility and farm Animal Reform Movement. She is an environmentalist of twelve years, and holds a bachelor's degree in environmental studies from Connecticut College, and a Masters of Studies in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School.
 

 

Martin Galea De_Giovanni - Agriculture & Webmaster

Martin Galea De Giovanni is a computer programmer and webmaster by profession.

Since joining FoE in 2000, Martin has been responsible for the issues relating to agriculture & biodiversity. His lifelong interest in astronomy made him conscious of how precious our little planet is. He is now studying Environmental Science at the University of Malta.

 

     

 

Caroline Gatt

Graduated in cultural anthropology from the University of Malta. Currently working on the ‘Community Centres Promoting Sustainable

Lifestyles’Grundtvig project with FoE Malta. Active in NGOs since 1993. Founder of Arts Students Association in 2001 at the University of Malta. Forms part of Icarus, a nucleus group within Groups for human encounters; a research theatre group.She is fascinated with fairy tales as a genre and Art Nouveau.

 

 

Stefano Moncada

Graduated in Economics of International Cooperation & Dev. from the University of Rome. He worked for 8 years in the Italian Parliament as

manager, foreign affairs advisor & policy analyst. He has been involved in analysis & negotiation of National and EU legislation & policy in the fields of environment, tourism, energy, education & social policy. He worked in the international co-operation sector, conceiving, negotiating and managing projects in the environmental and social fields in Italy, Mali, Albania & Mexico. He is now finishing his Masters in European Studies in Malta."

 

Marie-Louise Schembri

Marie-Louise Schembri (aka Emlu) graduated as an architect and civil engineer at the University of Malta in
2002. She was the first Chairperson of the Environmental Policy Committee (University Students Council) for the term 2001-2002. Since 1999 she has been the National Contact for Malta at the European Architecture Students' Assembly.
